Cluj Regional Hospital - Romania
Cluj - Romania
Located in Cluj, Romania, on a site covering 184,578 m², the Cluj Regional Hospital Project is a strategic project that reflects CCN Holding’s strong expertise in international healthcare infrastructure investments. Supported by European Union funds, this prestigious investment aims to advance the region’s healthcare capacity to higher standards.
Designed with a total construction area of 184,578 m², the facility is one of three major regional hospitals planned across Romania and the second major regional hospital project undertaken by CCN Holding. Upon completion, with a capacity of 849 beds and 22 high-tech operating rooms, the project will serve not only as a hospital building, but also as one of the most comprehensive and modern medical complexes in Eastern Europe.
The project stands out not only for its capacity, but also for its environmental performance and sustainability criteria. Developed in accordance with nZEB (Nearly Zero Energy Building) standards and an A+ energy rating, the hospital is being equipped with environmentally friendly technologies. Within this scope, a solar carport system is planned to be installed over the outdoor parking areas, enabling the facility to meet part of its energy needs from renewable energy sources.
The construction process, integrated with the procurement of medical equipment, is scheduled over a period of 40 months. This holistic approach will enable the facility to operate with state-of-the-art equipment from the day it opens. In this way, the structural works and technological infrastructure will be completed simultaneously, maximizing operational efficiency.
Cluj Regional Hospital aims to contribute directly to public health by reducing travel distances for access to treatment and optimizing lengths of stay. With its vision centered on modern healthcare architecture and high-quality patient care, the project is a pioneering investment that adds value to Europe’s healthcare infrastructure and will serve as a lasting legacy for future generations.
