Europe’s Largest Healthcare Campus Built Under a Single Contract
Ankara Bilkent City Hospital, delivered by CCN Holding under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model, stands as a major benchmark in healthcare infrastructure as one of the world’s largest healthcare campuses built under a single contract. With a total construction area of 1,285,797 m² and a capacity of more than 4,050 beds, this large-scale healthcare complex stands out as a project that has redefined the scale and capacity of healthcare services in Türkiye and Europe.
Delivered for the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Türkiye, the project brings together within a single campus numerous healthcare facilities serving different specialties, including general, oncology, cardiology, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, neurology, physical therapy and rehabilitation, orthopedics, and high-security psychiatry hospitals. In addition, the Ministry of Health Headquarters Building, located within the campus, has been incorporated into the project as a key component that enables administrative and healthcare services to be delivered within an integrated framework.
With its advanced medical infrastructure, modern architectural approach, and high capacity, the large-scale healthcare campus was designed not merely as a healthcare facility providing treatment services, but as a comprehensive healthcare ecosystem. The operating rooms, intensive care units, diagnostic centers, and support units within the campus were planned to serve a high patient capacity rapidly and efficiently.
In addition to the hospital buildings, the project also includes logistics areas, technical infrastructure systems, social spaces, transport links, and extensive landscaping, all developed through a holistic planning approach. This has created an integrated campus model that enables healthcare services to be delivered seamlessly and efficiently.
